Finish Along - Q1
Among my list of quilts to finish in 2012, not a single one was finished. Not one. How can that be? Oh, I made some other projects, but didn't whittle down that list by even one small wall hanging.
Hanging my head in shame.
So in the spirit of making many, many resolutions in hopes that I will keep a few, I'm joining the Finish Along over at She Can Quilt. Rhonda from Quilter in the Gap hosted it last year, and some of my favorite bloggers and podcasters made a real dent in their UFO list by participating.
So here's my list. I decided to keep it reasonable and short so it doesn't overwhelm me and make me completely freeze up.
Christmas Table Topper - This is all sandwiched and ready to quilt. I froze up looking for the "perfect" way to quilt it. After getting back into the groove, I think I'm ready to get back to it.
Rainy Day Tote Bag - This was my first attempt at design and with using laminate fabric. Once again, I got stuck trying to decide the best way to install the zipper. I have since found some great tutorials and just need to pull the fabric back out. This would be a fantastic tote to have during the rainy, bleary months that we call winter here in the south.
Cut Ups Swap Quilt - Again, all ready to quilt and I'm frozen in the decision making process about how to quilt it. The irony of this project is that, when we started, we all decided that the quilting would be the easy part since we didn't want to quilt over the original squares. The others who finished this just quilted in the ditch. Why can't I just do that? Seriously, what is wrong with me? This project is about 12 years old! YIKES!
The other project I will finish this quarter doesn't qualify for this Finish Along because I've only bought the fabric. Remember the quilt for Greer? Well, she's going to have a baby sister in April! I have picked out some darling fabric and a very simple pattern.

These are lovely projects. I have a stack of quilting to do too and need to stop overthinking it as well and just do it. I hope the FAL helps you to get these done and thank you for joining in. You are going to feel so organized when you get that table topper done this quarter!
